Self-service mean that the library will be open for self-service, providing access to the premises even when the information desk is not staffed.
What are the self-service hours?
The self-service hours are 4 p.m.–8 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m.–3 p.m. on Saturdays. There might be temporary self-service hours during major holidays or during summer. If that is the case, they will be shown in the daily opening hours information on the library website.
Who can visit the library during self-service?
Everyone is welcome at the library Monday to Friday, but a Miun key tag is required for entry between 4 p.m.–8 p.m. On Saturdays, the university entrances are locked, and those with a Miun key tag have access to the library premises between 11 a.m.– 3 p.m. To enter the premises on Saturdays and on weekdays after 4 p.m., use your Miun key tag in the card reader outside the entrance and enter your code.
In the interests of security on campus we would like to remind you that it is not permitted to use your tag to let unauthorised people enter the library. All visitors must use their own tag to enter the library.
If you are a Mid Sweden University student without a Miun key tag, you can order one here.
If you are a student at another university or college, you can also get a Miun key tag. You can pick up a tag at Mid Sweden University's Service Centre. You need to be able to show identification and present a current registration certificate, which you can obtain from Ladok, indicating the period you are enrolled in your course.
Self-service at the library
- The library has self-service machines for borrowing and returning materials. Follow the instructions on the screen and make sure to check that all titles have been registered.
- You can search for books and other material in our search tool, which you find on our website.
- The library's website is filled with information, so in many cases, you can find answers to your questions about information retrieval, printing, or other topics there.
If you need help from the staff
If you need support in searching for information, borrowing materials, or have other errands at the library that require assistance from the staff, you are welcome to visit us during our staffed opening hours, Monday–Friday 8.30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
