Mid Sweden University, together with ST and Saco, has signed a local agreement for collaboration. The agreement regulates how all major changes relating to the relationship between employer and employee are to be handled.
The purpose of the agreement is to develop the business by increasing the conditions for everyone's commitment and responsibility. The agreement regulates how participation in the planning, management and follow-up of the activities is to be handled.
Examples of issues included in the agreement are issues of work environment and safety, gender equality, equal treatment, skills supply, finances and operational planning.
Collaboration groups
To facilitate the collaboration work, there is a central collaboration group (CSG) that handles the university's common issues. There are also administrative/faculty-wide collaboration groups (FSG) and local collaboration groups (LSG) at the faculties' departments, the faculty offices, as well as in administration and libraries.
The collaboration agreement means that:
- Each union has the right to have a representative who belongs to the division in LSG (applicable within the faculties)
- The time for local union work is 65 hours/year.
- The time for assignment as a local safety representative is 65 hours/year.
