General agreements on salaries and benefits (Villkorsavtal)
The General agreements regulate the terms for things such as leave, working hours and notice periods.
General agreements are signed with the main union organisations, Saco and ST, and regulate the terms for various forms of leave, compensation, sick pay and parental leave. In addition to the general agreement, terms of employment are regulated by terms agreed locally via local collective agreements.
The general agreements do not apply to employees who have retired with an old-age pension in accordance with government occupational pension regulations, nor to employees who are supported by job-market policy measures other than subsidised employment.
