E‑mail signature

Every year, millions of e-mails are sent from Mid Sweden University. To create a uniform expression in our communication with the outside world, we should use a general e-mail signature. The e-mail signature also facilitates the recipient to identify important contact information. No logo or image should be added to the email signature.

Templates in Swedish and English are included in Outlook. To enter your personal contact information, do the following:

Adding the new e-mail signature for PC

1. Choose ”new email”
2. Click the icon ”signature” and choose ”signatures” to start editing.
3. Select ”MIUN English Signature” or ”MIUN Swedish Signature” and edit in the block below.
4. Write down your personal contact details.
5. By clicking on the ”link” icon and then writing down the appropriate URL you can activate the optional links to your personal page, facebook and Twitter.
6. Now set your new signature as standard choice by selecting it in the menu for ”new messages”. Click OK to save.
7. The bottom line of the signature talks about how we process personal data. It is mandatory and must not be removed.

Adding the new e-mail signature for Mac

1. Choose ”new message”.
2. Click the icon ”signature” and choose ”edit signature”.
3. Select ”MIUN English Signature” or ”MIUN Swedish Signature” and click edit.
4. Write down your personal contact details.
5. By clicking on the ”link” icon and then writing down the appropriate URL you can activate the optional links to your personal page, facebook and Twitter.
6. Close and save. Now set your new signature as standard by choosing it in the menu for ”new messages” when you are in mode ”edit signature”.
