- We will now move into the process of implementing the plan. We will start by following up the different initiatives that have been communicated to us in the referral round as well as in dialogues between e.g. the International Relations Office (IRO) and the Deans. One important aspect of this work is to bring forward good examples to enable benchmarking internally and externally and to facilitate cooperation and development, says Anna Lindahl, coordinator for the process of creating the action plan and Head of IRO at the Division of Research and Educational Support.

The action plan will be in place from 2020-2023 and the main goals derive from Mid Sweden University’s strategy whilst the sub goals are based on the so-called National Strategic Agenda for Internationalisation as well as a report on responsible internationalisation from STINT, the Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education.

Main goals in the action plan:

1. Our academic environments are strong and take on global challenges

2. Our activities on the global arena fuel and contribute to the development of the region

3. Our study and working environment attract students and employees who contribute to a global and regional development

4. We are leading in the development and quality of flexible education, technology enhanced learning and virtual mobility

The action plan will be available in English shortly.
