Corona covid-19

Two employees who work in the S building at Campus Sundsvall have tested positive for the coronavirus covid-19. Another employee also has a suspected covid-19 infection. The employees belong to the same small working group and they have not been in contact with any students.

Immediate action was taken to minimize the risk of spreading the virus. Colleagues working close to these employees have been told to work from home and to have themselves tested. The S building has been thoroughly cleaned.

It is extremely important that you follow the recommendations issued by the authorities and that you act if you have any flu-like symptoms. Should you test positive for covid-19, we recommend that you inform your immediate superior. Remember:

  • Stay home if you are sick – even if the symptoms are mild
  • If you fall ill, call in sick immediately and inform your immediate superior. Contact 1177 by phone or go to to have yourself tested
  • Keep your distance from other people – avoid crowds
  • Wash your hands thoroughly and often, and use hand sanitiser

For employees at Mid Sweden University, this also means:

  • Minimize travel if possible
  • Work from home if possible – if you cannot work from home, talk to your immediate superior about the possibility to work on campus
  • Choose digital meetings over physical ones whenever possible
  • Respect the distance markings – and leave them in place!
  • Respect the corona adapted furnishing – and do not change anything!
  • If you have been tested for covid-19 – stay at home while you wait for the test result.
