Spread of infection increases – more regional recommendations

Fri 30 Apr 12:03

Both in Västernorrland and Jämtland Härjedalen, the spread of covid-19 remains high. For this reason, the CDC doctors are urging everyone to take the new advice and recommendations very seriously.

As of April 30, Västernorrland applies:
· Limit your social contacts. Do not meet anyone other than those you live with, other than what is necessary at work or in school.

· If you are working in an ongoing outbreak of covid-19, you should as much as possible avoid being out in the community during the outbreak.

· Do not train indoors in groups (three persons or more) if you were born in 2001 or earlier. This recommendation does not apply to people engaged in professional sports.

In addition, masks should be used when travelling by public transport and when staying in public indoor environments where there is a risk of congestion. You should also refrain from unnecessary travel, both within and outside the county.

Advice and recommendations apply to everyone in Västernorrland, including those who have had covid-19 and/or are vaccinated.

Jämtland Härjedalen
Even in Jämtland Härjedalen, the situation is strained, not least in health care. Therefore, the restrictions will now be extended until 17 May. Do you or someone in your household symptoms – stay home and take a covid-19 sample.

The restrictions that apply include:

· Only spend time with the people you normally meet, such as those you live with or a few friends and relatives outside the household.

· Keep distance from others and avoid environments with congestion

· Work from home as often as possible

· Travel in a way that minimizes the risk of infection

· Use disposable masks when travelling in public transport on weekdays between 7-9 and 16-18. Applies to persons born in 2004 and earlier.

· Use disposable masks in situations where close contact in the indoor environment cannot be avoided. Masks should only be used as a complement to other recommendations. Keep your distance most important. General use of mouth protection is currently not recommended in the school environment.
