The goal of the Resvis app is for residents to choose more sustainable and climate-smart modes of transport and routes. In the app you see which of your travel routes gives the least carbon dioxide emissions, you can measure the health effects by choosing a certain mode of transport while collecting bonus points by choosing a more sustainable means of transport.

Students have helped test the app

The Department of Ecotechnology has been involved in helping the municipality develop the app and several student projects have tested and evaluated it.

- I think that this investment is in line with the municipality's climate ambitions and that it is important to try different solutions to find new ways to reduce our climate impact. It's fun and educational to work together, says Anna Longueville, the municipality's contact person at Ekoteknik.

The app is available for download on Östersund municipality's website and everyone who wants to can participate and use it during the campaign period 5 December to 29 January. Everyone who participates and who receives bonus points is entered into the prize draw.
