First workshop to increase researchers chances of being published

Fri 09 Sep 2022 08:38

On 4th Oct 2022, the first workshop in a series will be offered, focusing on increasing your chances of getting published internationally. The workshop is for those who would like practical support before you get published.

Felix Dobslaw and Volker Mauerhofer

Volker Mauerhofer, Professor at EHB, and Felix Dobslaw, Research leader at DSV, run the ALP project titled ”Publish or Perish”. The title, which may feel a little harsh, is really about the importance of being published, and the project should provide an answer to the question of how to accomplish that.

– We hope to increase knowledge about the best way to write abstracts for scientific journals and conferences, how to choose suitable journals, and how to best maneuver through the review process before publication, says Volker Mauerhofer.

The workshop will be again in Sundsvall on 2nd March 2023. A total of eight workshops are alternatingly planned in Östersund and Sundsvall, subject to evaluation after the fourth event. The number of participants is limited at each workshop so that every researcher can receive individual support based on their own challenges and research areas.

– We turn to researchers early in their careers, primarily doctoral students. You should have an ongoing abstract in progress that we can work with during the day to get as relevant support as possible to move forward in your process, says Felix Dobslaw.

On 4th of october, the workshop will be held at G3213

Schedule for the day:
