New research shows the importance of international collaboration in the research field

At the end of 2022, two new projects in the broader field of the Environmental Humanities were published. The first of this is a Special Issue of the journal Green Letters, one of the major journals in the field since 2000. In collaboration with Lucy Jeffery (Institute of Applied technology, Abu Dhabi), formerly based at MIUN as a postdoctoral researcher, Vicky Angelaki published the volume "A New Poetics of Space". It expands upon the discourses of a conference that Angelaki and Jeffery co-organised at MIUN in 2020. The second is a special issue of Critical Stages / Scènes critiques, the journal of IATC (International Association of Theatre Critics) with the title Theatre and Ecology, which Vicky Angelaki co-edited with Elizabeth Sakellaridou (Aristotle University, Greece). The volume is published open access. Regarding the two volumes, Vicky Angelaki said: "at a time when MIUN is placing emphasis on internationalisation and sustainability, I am delighted to be able to share this work. The projects show the importance of international collaboration for dealing with one of our greatest challenges, the climate crisis, and they also demonstrate that the humanities and arts have an important role to play in these dialogues".
