Upgrade to Office 365 on your computer
To ensure that our computers are correctly licensed, those currently using an older version of Office must upgrade to Office 365. It only takes a few minutes to upgrade.
You can perform the upgrade yourself until Sunday, December 10, by following the steps below. After that, the upgrade will happen automatically. Remember to upgrade on all computers if you have multiple.
If you are outside the campus with your computer, make sure you are connected via VPN. Keep the VPN activated until the program is installed, and you have started it up. To connect to VPN, refer to the guide on VPN on the page https://www.miun.se/medarbetare/gemensamt/servicetjanster/it/faq-it-tjanster/
Follow these steps to upgrade:
1. Close all open Office programs on your computer, such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
2. For PC: Open the "Software Center" located in the desktop folder "MIUN Support," or go to the search box at the bottom left of your window and type "Software Center."
For Mac: Open "Self Service" among the installed applications.
3. For PC: Click on the "Microsoft Office 365" icon. If you can't find it, type "Office 365" in the search box.
For Mac: Click on the "Office 365" icon. If you can't find it, type "Office 365" in the search box.
4. Click the "Install" button.
5. Keep your computer on during the upgrade; it only takes a few minutes.
Want to check if you have an older version of Office?
Open Word or another Office program, go to File, select Account or Office Account, and you can see which version you have.
