Mid Sweden University has been to the United States to recruit students
During the autumn, Ellen Horbach from the International Relations Office, IRO, has been in the United States to recruit students to Mid Sweden University.
Mid Sweden University has participated in the SIREUS Study in Sweden Tour in the United States. SIREUS is a three-year collaborative project that brings together 13 Swedish universities, including Mid Sweden University, SACC-USA, the Embassy in Washington DC, the Swedish Institute (Si), Vinnova and the Knowledge Foundation.
The purpose of Ellen Horbach's trip has been to promote miun's international programs and to meet potential international students. Mid Sweden University's strategic goal of increased internationalisation means, among other things, an increased intake of international students who pay tuition fees.
Ellen participated in the recruitment events at three different locations in the United States: New York, the Pullman Campus in Washington, and Orange County, California.
– It's been an exciting journey where I've met a lot of potentially interested students, says Ellen.
In addition to the trip to the United States, IRO also participates in virtual recruitment fairs arranged by the Swedish Institute. Mid Sweden University also participated in the Swedish Higher Education and Research Delegation to India in November.
