In the coming days, the student survey is sent out by e-mail to students at undergraduate and advanced level. The survey is conducted every two years as part of Mid Sweden University’s quality assurance work and a chance for students to make their voice heard

Students in library (Östersund)

An important part of Mid Sweden University’s quality assurance work is student influence and the purpose of the survey is to identify possible development areas based on students’ opinions to ensure that infrastructure, student support and learning resources are suitable for students.

The aim is also to investigate the extent to which students feel that they have the opportunity to influence the education and study situation and the opportunity to participate on equal terms.

Results from the student survey 2021

The most recent student survey was conducted in 2021 and based on its results, several development work has been carried out. Among other things:

  • a pre-study is ongoing linked to the learning platform Moodle
  • there is an ongoing review of the wireless network and the general data rooms together with the student unions
  • decisions have been made on new guidelines linked to course evaluations. Now the development work is continuing in an overall project to increase the quality and quantity of course evaluations and course analyses.
  • student influence has been clarified on the web and there is ongoing development work to develop proposals for information and working methods to promote student representation in decision-making bodies, subject colleges and programme councils.
  • Based on free text comments in the survey linked to media production, an investigation was carried out in 2021. It resulted in a media production function with the aim of supporting teachers, researchers and other employees.

The results of this year’s student survey will be analysed and presented in a report that you will be able to read here and on the student web.

We hope that as many students as possible will respond to the survey!

Are you a teacher? Please invite your students to participate! The survey is open for three weeks.
