Do you want to do research on flexible working methods? Now there are funds to apply for

Fri 14 Apr 2023 14:40

Today, friday 14th of april, the application to the research fund opens. Proposals that can give Mid Sweden University a national position in research on teleworking/flexible working are requested.

Pengar och mynt

A couple of years ago, Mid Sweden University established an agreement for research collaboration with The Remote Lab and it was decided, among other things, that one million SEK per year would be allocated to a research fund. In general, there is little research in the field of teleworking/flexible working, and Mid Sweden University's ambition was and is therefore to enable researchers working at the university to conduct research focused on societal challenges linked to this.

The Remote Lab is a knowledge and development node with the task of facilitating organizations in the transition between physical workplace and remote work. This means, among other things, working to stimulate more knowledge through collaborations with research environments within universities and research institutes, but also through own studies.

Proposals that can give us a national position

Mid Sweden University wants forward-looking proposals, which can give us a national position in research in this area. Staff employed at Mid Sweden University are eligible to apply for funding from the fund. The Research Fund opens for applications today, friday 14 April, and the deadline for applications is 31 may 2023. The research fund currently has a total turnover of approximately SEK 1.6 million, and this is the last call from the fund. All applications must follow the instructions that have been developed.

Applications are assessed in a decision-making group consisting of the Vice-Chancellor, Deans and University Strategists. The decision group will meet on 21 June. Decisions on the allocation of project funds are notified to the project manager within one week of the decision meeting.

A seminar on research on remote work and the call will be arranged on April 28 by Mid Sweden University and The Remote Lab at Samverket, Biblioteksgatan 9, Östersund, at 13-15. This is a hybrid seminar, and it is therefore also possible to participate digitally via the link below.
