Primula is still out of operation – questions and answers
The National Government Service Centre's operating supplier, Tietoevry, continues to have problems with operational disruptions. For Mid Sweden University, this affects our personnel system Primula.

During the night of 20 January, the National Government Service Center's subcontractor TietoEvry was subjected to an extensive IT attack. This affected Primula, which has since been unreachable.

What about my salary for February?
The National Government Service Centre (Statens Servicecenter, SSC) has communicated that Primula is expected to be sufficiently restored for the February salary to be paid. As a preventive measure, both SSC and the university are preparing to activate a backup payroll procedure if necessary.

What about future salaries and remuneration?
Since we cannot influence how TietoEvry and the National Government Service Center work to restore data in Primula, we do not know at the moment how it will work with future salaries. As soon as we know more, we will update the information.

I have a travel expense report and other expenses to register in Primula – what do I do?
Since Primula cannot be used, neither you nor HR can register any travel expenses or expenses at this time.
You need to keep your documentation with you until Primula is available again and then register your travel expense report and other expenses in Primula.

I have applied for vacation in Primula but I do not know if my head of department/manager has granted it.
Talk to your head of department/manager and discuss the possibility of a vacation.
When Primula is available again, you need to check that your vacation is registered in Primula and sent to the head of department/manager for approval.

If I get sick – what do I do?
If you get sick, you need to report that via sjukanmalan@miun.se or call 010-142 80 00, option 4 and contact your head of department/manager. At the moment, you cannot report this in Primula.
If you have an ongoing sick leave and need to change the extent of sick leave, you need to contact your manager who will make sure to send the necessary information to HR, for registration as soon as we have access to Primula again.

I am well again and back at work – how do I report my recovery?
At the moment, you cannot report yourself in Primula.
When you are back at work on your regular extent, email sjukanmalan@miun.se and HR will register your recovery report as soon as we have access to Primula again.
If you have an ongoing sick leave and need to change the extent of sick leave, you need to contact your manager who will make sure to send the necessary information to HR, for registration as soon as we have access to Primula again.

My child is ill, and I need to report child care – what do I do now?
At the moment, you cannot register the care of a child yourself in Primula.
Report your absence to your head of department/manager.
When you are back at work, you send an email with information about which dates and to what extent you vacated. Send to sjukanmalan@miun.se. HR will then register your absence as soon as we have access to Primula again.

I want to apply for leave of absence/parental leave – what do I do?
Talk to your head of department/manager and discuss the possibility of a leave of absence/parental leave.
Then send an email to your head of department/manager and to sjukanmalan@miun.se where you state the reason for the leave, extent in percentage, leave of abscence/parental leave period (from - until), and the name of your department.

Has my personal data been leaked?
At present, it is not possible to determine whether a personal data incident has taken place or not in connection with the incident.
The National Government Service Centre has now made a report to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) regarding the personal data incident.

Are any other systems at Mid Sweden University affected, such as room booking, Retendo or something else?
No, it is only Primula that is affected, other systems have no connection to the National Government Service Center or TietoEvry.
However, it will not be possible to integrate Primula with our own systems.

How do I report my hours worked during January?
If you are an intermittent employee and register your hours worked in Primula, you need to make a note of your hours.
In this way, you have the best opportunity to register in Primula yourself and send your case for approval when the system is available again.
If you are an intermittent employee and usually report your hours worked on a form, you do this according to the regular routine.

I have registered a travel bill and other expenses in Primula. How do I view the status of my case?
Once Primula is available again, you can check the status of your case on “My page” in Primula, or under “My cases”.
If your physical receipts for already registered cases in Primula have come to HR, these will be processed in turn when Primula is available.
