The General Data Protection Regulation also applies to information in e-mail, chats, etc. In principle, all messages that are accessed or sent from a user account contain at least one personal data (sender / recipient / signature, etc.). Skype - Teams

Skype – Teams

Mid Sweden University is currently transitioning from Skype to Teams. The goal is to phase-out Skype by 31 December 2020.

During the transition, we will make use of "Islands-mode", which means that we are running both Teams and Skype for Business, parallel and unrelated to each other. We will train the staff in Teams, so that everyone uses both clients for a while. When most of all users are running Teams, users are transferred to Teams-Only mode. When all users are in Teams-Only mode, we will shut down Skype.
