The election to the Election Committee is completed. Here you find the results after the votes have been counted.
Information about the election
The election is conducted in accordance with the regulations established by the vice-chancellor (Dnr Miun 2021/242, an English translation is under preparation).
With the exception for postgraduate students with doctoral studentships (i.e. who are employed as “doktorand”) and faculty office staff, entitled to vote are employees at the Faculty who as of February 1, 2021 are employed:
a. on a permanent basis with at least 40% of full-time employment, and who are active within the Faculty’s area of responsibility for at least 40% of full time, or
b. on a temporary basis for a period of at least 2 years, with at least 40% of full-time employment, and who are active within the Faculty’s area of responsibility for at least 40% of full time.
Eligible are persons entitled to vote who are professors, or whose position requires a doctoral degree or equivalent scientific or artistic qualification. Eligible persons entitled to vote

March 11 Invitation to nominate to the Election Committee is sent to the Electoral Assembly
March 19 Last day to submit proposals for candidates to the Election Committee. Any proposals are sent to the Faculty Office, maria.torstensson@miun.se
March 23 Election of the Election Committee opens (5 working days). The election is carried out in Netigate. Eligible persons to vote will receive an e-mail with a link to Netigate. If you are eligible and have not received the link by 15:00 on 23 March, please contact me at maria.torstensson@miun.se.
March 29 Final day for election of Election Committee.
May 10, at 12:00 The Election Committee submits proposals for candidates to the Faculty Office maria.torstensson@miun.se
May 10 The Election Committee's proposals are sent to the Election Assembly, after which the Election Assembly has 5 working days to submit further proposals.
May 18, at 15:00 Final day to submit additional proposals to the Election Committee's proposals; these are emailed to the Faculty Office maria.torstensson@miun.se
May 19 Summary of the proposals for candidates that the Election Committee has submitted + other proposals received will be sent to the Election Assembly via email.
May 26 Voting for election to the Faculty Board opens (5 working days). The voting is carried out in Netigate.
June 1 Final day to vote
June 1 Election to the Faculty Board should be complete
Nominate additional candidates for the Faculty Board
Once the Election Committee has submitted its proposal, there will be an opportunity to nominate additional candidates. Additional candidates must be among the eligible persons.
Finding candidate for the position of dean
The Election Committee also has the task of finding a suitable candidate for the position of dean in consultation and dialogue with the vice-chancellor. The dean is appointed by the vice-chancellor.

Due to current restrictions, no election meetings will take place. Instead, all information and communication will be through email, as well as nominations of candidates for the Election Committee and later on the Faculty Board. Voting will be carried out in Netigate.
