IoT presented at business breakfast

The latest technology was a hot topic at the business breakfast arranged by the entrepreneurial compound in Härnösand (Härnösandsföretagarna). Prof. Mattias O'Nils presented the research project SMART and what kind of new business opportunities Internet of Things can create.

Mattias presented the new research project SMART and how it will raise the level of research in our regional businesses and creating smart systems and services. He also talked about connecting the physical world with the digital, for example, in the city center of Härnösand.

- If we can analyze how people move in the center, we can also see how different changes in the city environment affect the movement pattern. A knowledge that can support the development of the city.

On the meeting were also Vice-Chancellor Anders Söderholm who together with municpally director Sofia Pettersson presented the new cooperation agreement between Mid Sweden University and the Municpally of Härnösand.

- The University will provide support to our business development. My managers presents real needs in the business and researcher from Mid Sweden University will help us find the best solutions, said Sofia Pettersson.
