We would like to welcome our new PhD - student Tania Taami to STC. During her PhD-studies, Tania Taami will focus on Cloud Computing And Fog Computing in IoT.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background?
I graduated from Department of Computer Engineering in IAU University in Iran as a privileged student to study M.Sc without entrance exam. (Ranked 1st). My master thesis was about Efficient Advance Reservation Algorithms in Grid and Cluster Computing System Considering Quality of Service (QoS). After being graduated as a master degree, I worked in AVAYA company in Tehran as a IT manager and then for more than five years I was lecturer and head of computer department in University of Applied Science and Technology in Kurdistan. During this time I published two papers :
1) Ismail Ataie, Naser Qhasemaqhaee, Tania Taami, "Development and Implementation Environment of Fuzzy Object Oriented Models with Partial Inheritance and Aggregation Relationships", IEEE, Mumbai, India, 2011.
2) Tania Taami, Ismail Ataie, Amir Masoud Rahmani, Ahmad Khadem Zadeh, "Overclocked LoadScheduling in Large Clustered Reservation System", (IJCSIS) International Journal of Computer Science and Information security , Vol8, No. 4, USA
During your PhD, what are your research focus?
Cloud Computing And Fog Computing in IoT.
Why did you choose Mid Sweden University for your PhD?
When I read about the tenure at the FindAPhD website, I decided to apply since I was keen on working under supervision of Prof. Mattias and his research in IoT.
What is your personal goals as a PhD - student?
I hope to contribute to new research and become an expert in the IoT field, and hopefully find a job at the university or in the industry as a R&D in the near future.
