1,500 people each year, about four per day. This is what the suicide statistics look like in Sweden. Suicide Zero is an organization that wants to reduce suicides in Sweden and works to spread knowledge, identify societal shortcomings and drive advocacy work. Irja Wikström is a lecturer for the concept "Dare to ask" and holds the lecture that takes place on Wednesday evening.

– The "Dare to Ask" lecture can be helpful for everyone. Many people may not really know what to do when someone is feeling bad — or how to ask. The lecture provides some support and tools in how you as a fellow human being can act if someone close to you is struggling, going through a life change or showing warning signs of bad feeling. The lecture deals with statistics about suicide, how to ask and where to help people seek care and help, she says.

The lecture is aimed at everyone as it can be about a classmate, a colleague, teacher, neighbor, a relative or friend who may be going through a difficult period and need extra support. The lecture is in the evening.
