Doctoral studies
Doctoral studies is the highest education you can study at a university or college. The programme prepares you for a continued career in academia or outside the university.
At Mid Sweden University, admission to doctoral studies is normally handled through an open recruitment process. Available doctoral positions are advertised publicly via work at the university/career
The doctoral studies consists partly of doctoral courses and partly of a dissertation work. The studies concludes with either a licentiate degree or a doctoral degree. Anyone who has completed a third-cycle education with the equivalent of four years of full-time studies and an approved doctoral degree has received the highest possible educational degree in Sweden.
