My name is Lars-Erik Rännar, and I am the course coordinator for MT041A Scientific Writing, Method and Presentation Technique, 7.5 credits. You can find the syllabus and reading list here:

The course starts with a roll call day during week 45 on Campus Östersund and via Zoom. The roll call has compulsory attendance.
Schedule
Four weeks before the start of the course, when you have created you MiunID (student account), you will see your schedule.
Please note that the schedule is updated until the start of the course and there may be changes thereafter if something unforeseen occurs.

Then you will receive the schedule closer to the start of the course from your course coordinator.
Education information
We will gather all the important information for you as a student on Canvas later on.
There you will find information about the structure of the course and the required course literature. Remember to order the literature well in advance of the course start. The course includes mandatory examination sessions, which will be announced when the schedule is released.
System requirements for various software
Many of the digital tools of the education do not work on ChromeBooks. For example, you cannot use Microsoft 365 programs with full functionality on a Chromebook, for this you need a computer with Windows or MacOSX. This also applies to graphic-intensive programs in design and technology, for example. This also applies if you are going to write a digital exam. To avoid problems, we recommend that you use a Windows or Mac computer instead.
If the course or program has specific equipment requirements, this will be stated in the welcome letter

There are several things you need to do as a new student in order to start your studies. If you are a distance student with campus lectures, you need to familiarize yourself with both checklists.
