The course is given in the teaching platform Canvas and will start on the first day of term, which is Monday 31 August, 2026. 

Schedule

There are no scheduled meetings or seminars, and all studies take place in Canvas. There are regular deadlines which have to be met. All information is available in Canvas. 

Education information

The course starts with the Grammar module, so please secure the required reading for the Grammar module before the course starts (see below). You will gain access to the course platform Canvas a few days before the course is due to start, once you have registered for the course.

You should have the following book for the Grammar module at the start of term: 

Estling Vannestål, Maria. 2015. A University Grammar of English with a Swedish Perspective, Lund: Studentlitteratur.

System requirements for various software

Many of the digital tools of the education do not work on ChromeBooks. For example, you cannot use Microsoft 365 programs with full functionality on a Chromebook, for this you need a computer with Windows or MacOSX. This also applies to graphic-intensive programs in design and technology, for example. This also applies if you are going to write a digital exam. To avoid problems, we recommend that you use a Windows or Mac computer instead. 

If the course or program has specific equipment requirements, this will be stated in the welcome letter
