First Step Toward Working Life – Business Students Begin Their Internship
The first round of internships has now begun for business students—this time for those in their third year, specializing in marketing and business development.
Exciting weeks lie ahead for the students, who are now embarking on their first extended internship as business students. At the management consulting firm Pro & Pro in Sundsvall, students Saga, Joel, and Casper have started their internship with high expectations.
“It feels really exciting to finally get the chance to connect theory with practice. It’s also fun to get a glimpse into working life and learn more about the role of a management consultant,” says Saga, with both Joel and Casper agreeing:
“It’s going to be extremely educational, and the bonus is that the project we’re diving into feels meaningful and real—a hands-on case that will benefit us students if it’s implemented.”
Tommy Ytterström, CEO of Pro & Pro and the students’ internship supervisor, sees hosting interns as a natural part of the company’s mission.
“It’s about give and take—we have a lot of knowledge in the industry, methods, and theories for solving complex challenges, and we’re happy to share that. Our goal is for the students to gain skills in business acumen, project leadership, and strategy development through this course and internship. At the same time, it’s valuable for us to get fresh perspectives on our processes and work.”
