The first Bomorrow webinar of the season, 2025 ‑ 2026

Fri 07 Nov 2025 12:34

The starting point for this year's Bomorrow was Tuesday morning's webinar on the conditions for increasing attractiveness and enabling population development also in areas with a lower population density than in the metropolitan regions.

Bomorrowwebbinarium om attraktivitet och tillväxt för svenska städer

Led by CER researcher Edith Andresen, the panel discussed the factors that create location attractiveness and enable growth. The conversation turned to sustainable solutions in terms of housing, infrastructure and services, as well as the importance of a strong business community, but also about which types of cities are growing and which are not. Furthermore, it was noted that "soft issues" such as treatment and faith in the future easily end up in the background, despite the importance they have for a place to develop well. Participants were Helena Bohman and Magnus Andersson, both associate professors at Malmö University, and Knut S. Vareide, active at the Telemark Research Institute in Norway.

Two more webinars await before the Bomorrow conference takes place in Sundsvall on 18-19 March.
