Annual scholarship awards
In connection with the last reference group meeting of the year at CER, two annual scholarships were awarded for successful business student achievements.
As is tradition, the Foundation for the Promotion of Business Education in Norrland awarded its annual scholarship of SEK 10,000. Gabriel Borgryd, Alfred Monsell and Jacob Östlund are rewarded for being the second team ever from Mid Sweden University to qualify for the final of the Swedish Championships in Economics with an honorable fourth place as a result. The award was presented by Niklas Säwén, Chairman of the Municipal Executive Board of Sundsvall Municipality.
For the fourteenth time, the Foundation for Economic Research awarded its thesis grants. This year, two master's theses were highlighted. Lisa Källgren is rewarded with SEK 7,500 for the essay "Reviewers in the Reviewer's Yarn: The Supervision of Swedish Auditors and Disciplinary Sanctions". The supervisor was Peter Öhman. Jomes Anderson and Felicia Melanie share SEK 7,500 for the essay "Addressing quiet quitting through shared leadership: A qualitative study of generation Z in hybrid work environments". Supervisor was Edith Andresen.
