Successful defence of licentiate thesis

Ammarah Tariq has now defended her licentiate thesis titled "Substantive or symbolic compliance with mandatory sustainability reporting? Evidence from the European Union's non-financial reporting directive" at a public seminar.

About 20 people were present in Sundsvall on September 22 and slightly fewer followed the seminar via link. The faculty opponent was Professor Gazi Salah Uddin from Linköping University and the supervisor was Professor Peter Öhman, who is also the centre director at CER. Ammarah Tariq is now continuing her doctoral studies with further studies in the field of sustainability reporting. Presentations of draft articles based on the third of the total of four studies that will be included in the upcoming thesis are expected next.
