Skandia on its way to 20 years in the CER network
Skandia is one of the companies that has been part of CER since its inception in 2008, and the long-standing collaboration is set to continue.
The well-established insurance company is one of Sundsvall’s largest employers in the banking, insurance and pensions sector. Like many companies in the industry, Skandia is undergoing a digital transformation. This includes transferring large insurance portfolios from older mainframe solutions to modern standardised systems, gradually creating greater opportunities to focus on customer-oriented and value-creating activities.
“For this reason, CER’s priority area, ‘Digital Banking and Finance’, and its upcoming research projects are of great interest to us,” says Carina Svensson, Head of Joint Functions at Skandia’s Sundsvall office and an active member of the CER network.
She sees great value in exchanging knowledge and experiences with researchers, representatives from other companies in the network, and business students. For many years, she has also been part of the network group that proposes various activities for employees and helps ensure a broad range of business-related activities connected to the Master of Science in Business and Economics programmes.
Skandia, together with several other members of the CER network, will also be present when business students from across Sweden gather in Sundsvall in November.
