Webinar on AI and business benefits
The CER network's first webinar of the autumn focused on AI, opportunities and risks, as well as the pursuit of productivity growth and business benefits.
The webinar showed that AI issues are multifaceted. One question that was addressed was what is required to create added value for organizations and customers with the help of technology. The need for the right skills, well-thought-out processes, clear governance and an organization that is prepared to change in a responsible way was highlighted. Customer service and basic industry were mentioned as businesses that have begun and will continue to be reshaped with the help of AI tools. Another question was about technology and societal development and what potential AI has regarding this. One of several examples that was brought up was the possibilities of redistributing healthcare staff's time from administration to patient contact.
The webinar was led by Professor Katarina L Gidlund at Mid Sweden University's Forum for Digitalization. The panel discussion included Michael Goldman, AI Lead Product Manager at Länsförsäkringar AB, Kelli Haraldsson, management consultant at Pro&Pro and Malin Gardberg, researcher at the Research Institute of Industrial Economics (IFN).
