An intensive working week ended with the Unit for Business and Growth at Sundsvall Municipality visiting Mid Sweden University for a tour of three of the university's centres, including CER.

CER mötte kommunens enhet för näringsliv och tillväxt 20 februari

Centre Director Peter Öhman began by giving an account of CER's development and activities. Among other things, he was able to state that 2025 was the centre's most successful year so far in terms of research, both in terms of publications and citations. He also described how the four prioritised research areas have emerged, the centre's many national and international assignments and the breadth of its activities.

He then answered questions from, among others, Head of Growth Björn Wigge and Student Coordinator Tina Stjernberg, and took the opportunity to emphasize the importance of a long-term perspective and emphasize the center's ambition to advance its position every year. Examples of upcoming major events were the breakfast seminar with Deputy Governor Per Jansson in Härnösand on 25 February and the Bomorrow 2026 conference in Sundsvall on 18–19 March.
