CER, upper secondary school collaboration and PRAO visits

On several different occasions, Dennis Hedback at CER has recently met students from High School and Gymnasium with the hope that some of them will eventually apply to Mid Sweden University's Master of Science in Business and Economics program.

On May 4, he sat on the jury for the second time when students from Klara Gymnasium, who had run JA companies during the school year, pitched their companies and answered subsequent questions from the members of the jury.

Bakeit was one of a total of seven JA Companies that participated in the Klara Gymnasium's Dragon's Den. The members of Bakeit are: Ehsher Ehsher, Emilie Englund Fredin and Emilia Kovaniemi. A total of 32 students in year 3 participated in the Dragon's Den this year.

The week before, Dennis Hedback visited Sundsvall's Gymnasium (Hedbergska) and Klara Gymnasium together with economics student Tim Johansson and representatives from Nordea and Pro&Pro. There the students were informed about Mid Sweden University's economics programmes and how future students can think when reflecting about their future education and career.

Earlier this spring, Dennis Hedback also received nine students in grade 8 from High schools in Bergsåker, Haga, Matfors, Sidsjö and Vibacke. The programme included an adapted seminar on research in the social sciences, correlation, causality and personal finance. The personal finance part focused on investments and interest on interest.
