Research Funding Boost and Key Meeting with Nordea Leadership

Recently, CER received a positive message from the Jan Wallander and Tom Hedelius Foundation and the Tore Browaldh Foundation regarding granted research funding for the project "How to address financial well-being? Evidence from Sweden".

The research funds will cover the work of collecting survey data from 1000 respondents in order to capture self-perceived experiences and to be able to develop a theoretical framework for financial well-being on the basis of these data. The project manager is Mustafa Nourallah and the project is part of ongoing research projects co-financed by Nordea's Norrland Foundation.

It was therefore fitting that CER's Centre Director, Peter Öhman, was invited to a lunch conversation with representatives of Nordea's national, regional and local management. Malin Grönberg, Deputy Head of Private Markets Sweden, Gustav Westberg, Regional Manager Private Markets North and Sofie Hallin, Office Manager Sundsvall & Härnösand, participated in the conversation. On the agenda were discussions about the research that CER conducts within the framework of the profile area "Digital banking & Finance" and jointly initiated research and education projects on digital banking services. Furthermore, the work of the CER network, where Nordea is an active partner, was discussed, the opportunities and challenges of digitalisation, the region's skills supply and skills development needs, and how different parties can work together to create growth.
