The four crisis corners

Inside the simulation room, you are presented with four crisis situations in the local community through news broadcasts with accompanying images in each corner of the room: a large storm, a hacker attack with unclear spread, a terrorist attack at a nightclub, and a new wave of COVID-19 shutting down the society. How is your work life affected? What are your information needs? Who do you need to communicate with based on your professional role?

Depending on the extent to which visitors are affected, they position themselves on either a green, yellow, or red mat. The colors represent a scale where green = not affected, red = greatly affected, and yellow = somewhere in between. This bodily positioning serves as a basis for various discussions and has proven to be a flexible and adaptable format for training/exercises and visits.
