FSCN researcher appointed as Guest editor for Springer Nature Journal

Dr. Manisha Phadatare, researcher in engineering physics at FSCN Research center at Mid Sweden University, has been appointed guest editor for the newly launched journal “Discover Electrochemistry”, published by Springer Nature.

“It’s an honor to receive this invitation from such a renowned publishing group. Although it will mean some extra work, it’s a very rewarding opportunity,” says Manisha Phadatare. 

“It allows me to connect with researchers around the world and explore new areas of research which is refreshing and enriching.”

As guest editor Manisha Phadatare will lead the development of a thematic collection focused on ‘Advanced materials for sensors, energy storage, and energy conversion’. The role involves suggesting the topic, inviting contributions, managing the peer review process, and promoting the collection within the scientific community.

Highlight recent advancements

The collection seeks to highlight recent advancements in the design, synthesis, and application of materials such as nanostructured compounds, hybrid composites, and emerging 2D materials. 

By serving as guest editor Manisha Phadatare not only contributes to shaping future research directions but also reinforces FSCN’s role in global scientific collaboration. Her expertise in nanoparticle synthesis, Li-ion batteries, paper batteries, and sustainable energy storage has already earned her over 1 700 citations and a strong presence in peer-reviewed literature.

The collection is currently open for submissions until 31 January 2026.
