Welcome to two days highlighting the growing collaboration between Västernorrland and Trøndelag – a cross-regional effort focusing on the development of sustainable materials and chemicals, as well as the green industrial initiatives in Ånge.

The conference brings together researchers, industry and public actors from Mid Sweden University, Ånge Municipality, SINTEF, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and companies from the region.

21 January at 09.00 – 22 January at 13.00.

Hussborg Herrgård, Ånge municipality

The conference, including lunches and the dinner, is free of charge.

Preliminary programme

January 21

The day begins with coffee at 09.00 to 09.30.

  • Introductory presentations on future visions and the green industrial investment in Ånge.
  • Overview of current research projects in silicon, photovoltaic materials, porous materials, plasma technology, hydrogen in metal production and materials for wind power.
  • Lunch 12.00 to 13.00.
  • Presentations on the use of hydrogen, for example in steel production and ammonia production, as well as educational initiatives.
  • Workshop: common needs in Sweden and Norway and opportunities for improved cooperation.
  • Dinner together in the evening. 

January 22

  • Presentations on new materials and processes in areas such as biochar, e-fuel and energy systems.
  • Workshop: future working methods and collaboration opportunities in research, education and industry.
  • Conclusion.
  • Lunch 12:00 to 13:00.
