New grants from the Rolf and Gunilla Enström Foundation for Research and Development
At the beginning of the summer, the Sports Tech Research Centre received additional funding from the Rolf and Gunilla Enström Foundation for Research and Development in the amount of SEK 615,836.
"We are very grateful for the support from the foundation, which means more than the funds they have granted, as it in turn provides motivation for other funders to support the research further," says Mikael Bäckström. Centre Director at the Sports Tech Research Centre.
The financial contributions from the Enström Foundation for Research and Development will be used as co-financing for projects that have applied for funding from the European Regional Development Fund, ERDF. These grants enable research projects in advanced materials development for industrial use. They also contribute to equal conditions and sustainability aspects in parasports, among other things, as well as an increased collaboration with the region's companies.
This year, the Rolf and Gunilla Enström Foundation for Research and Development has granted funding totalling SEK 615,836, divided into four different projects that will partly run in parallel until the end of 2023. The four research projects are:
- Classification support with bioenergetic model
- "EB-Hard": EBM as a carbide attachment method
- "Mono-EB": Monocrystalline materials with EBM
- "UVS-VVK": Ultra Violet Sensor – Weather Weather Comb Correlation; Purchase of sensor for equivalent measurements of UV exposure during outdoor tests
