"We offer a packed program where we want to show both the benefits that the project has contributed to the companies that have participated and of course also the research that has resulted from the intensive work of recent years," says Mikael Bäckström. project manager and centre director for the Sports Tech Research Centre.
The research project has involved over 60 companies of varying sizes that have benefited from the researchers' knowledge and the research centre's infrastructure in the form of labs and machines.
"We have achieved our collaboration goals by far and have unfortunately not been able to meet all the requests that have come to us. It shows that there is a great demand for this type of collaboration and that we can contribute to business development.
Augmented Sports, with a total of 14 sub-projects, includes everything from physical conditions to performance and equipment in sports and sports. The research project has resulted in a number of scientific articles, several of which will be presented during the seminar. The researchers who worked in the project will, among other things, present studies on topics such as fairer conditions in parasports, head safety and climate regulation of sportswear, says Mikael Bäckström.
