The research project H3 – Multidimensional sustainability is extended
H3 – Multidimensional Sustainability gets an increased budget and extended project time. With increased funding from the European Regional Development Fund, continued efforts in current sub-projects and new investments in advanced materials analysis in close collaboration with industry will be possible.
The research project has, after application, received an amendment decision from the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth which entails an increased budget of just over SEK 19 million, including co-financing from Mid Sweden University. The total project scope now amounts to over SEK 43 million. The project period is extended by two years and eight months, until 30 September 2029.
In addition to reinforcements in ongoing sub-projects, the decision includes a new investment in a powerful scanning electron microscope and associated case studies in materials analysis in collaboration with industry.
"The project has been well received by companies, public actors and academia. We are now expanding the opportunities for companies in the industrial sector, in particular, to be able to apply for collaboration and support in additive manufacturing, among other things," says Mikael Bäckström, project manager and centre director.
