Tania Taami

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background?

I graduated from Department of Computer Engineering in IAU Science and Research Branch of Tehran, Iran. During my bachelor studies, I obtained the highest grade in most courses which made me the top student among the B.Sc. students of Software Engineering year and I had this privilege to study M.Sc. without any need to pass the national entrance exam. My master thesis was about Efficient Advance Reservation Algorithms in Grid and Cluster Computing Systems Considering Quality of Service (QoS).

My previous experience in industry and academia were as an IT manager in some companies especially Meteorological Organization, AVAYA besides as a lecturer and head of Computer Department for more than five years in University of Applied Science and Technology of Kurdistan Branch, Iran which really makes me encouraged to keep on my research and pursue a PhD degree as well. During my academic experience, I published two papers:

1) "Overclocked Load Scheduling in Large Clustered Reservation System", (IJCSIS) International Journal of Computer Science and Information security , Vol 8, No. 4, USA, 2010.

2) "Development and Implementation Environment of Fuzzy Object Oriented Models with Partial Inheritance and Aggregation Relationships", IEEE, Mumbai, India, 2011.

During your PhD, what are your research focus?

Cloud Computing And Fog Computing in IoT.

Why did you choose Mid Sweden University for your PhD?

When I read about the tenure at the FindAPhD website, I decided to apply since I was keen on working under supervision of Prof. Mattias and especially his research projects in IoT field.

What is your personal goals as a PhD - student?

The goal of my PhD is to become an accepted and productive member of the research community besides an expert in the IoT field according to my publications and research during this time. Hopefully, I will be able find as attractive position in academia or industry.
