For two weeks in May, researchers from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Pakistan visit STC Research Centre. The visit is funded by the initiation grant that Dr. Aamir Mahmood received in November last year. The visit will hopefully lead to a longer collaboration in the future between NUST and Mid Sweden University.

In November 2016, Dr. Aamir Mahmood received an initiation grant from STINT to collaborate with National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Pakistan. The grant was received to initiate “Collaboration between Sweden and Pakistan to investigate Reliable Information and Communication Technologies for Realizing Smart Electricity Systems”.

The grant has now been used to fund two research visits, the first in April when two researchers from Mid Sweden University (MIUN) visited NUST for two weeks, and now in May when two researchers from NUST visit MIUN for two weeks. During the two visits, the researchers has discussed which research challenges they are facing, met students and brainstormed about future collaboration.

The goal with the collaboration between the two universities is to share experiences and help each other in different research challenges, as well as exchange of students.
