Professor Mårten Sjöström Co‑Chair for IEEE ICIP 2026 in Tampere

Prof. Mårten Sjöström has been appointed General Co-Chair of the IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP) 2026, which will take place in Tampere, Finland, on 13–17 September 2026. ICIP is one of the world’s leading conferences in the fields of image processing and visual signal analysis.

- It is a great honour, and a responsibility I deeply appreciate, to serve as co-chair of IEEE ICIP 2026. The conference brings together leading researchers from across the globe, and I look forward to contributing to the development of the scientific programme as well as to strengthening international collaboration in image processing, says Professor Mårten Sjöström.

ICIP 2026 attracts researchers, PhD-students, and industry experts from around the world to present and discuss the latest research in image processing, vision and imaging. The conference programme includes oral presentations, plenary sessions, and poster presentations. All accepted papers will be published in IEEE Xplore.

For researchers wishing to participate, the deadline for submitting scientific papers (regular papers and special session papers) is February 4 2026.
