DigiLab strengthens opportunities for AI research through collaboration with Aderian GDM

When Mid Sweden University builds its new AI infrastructure within DigiLab – STC Digital Transformation Lab, Aderian GDM is one of the partners. The company has contributed expertise from the specification of requirements for the procurement to the installation of the infrastructure, which will give researchers better opportunities to develop and test AI-based solutions.

For Aderian GDM, the collaboration also means an opportunity to exchange knowledge with the university and gain a deeper understanding of the needs of research.

"Every time we get to work closely with a business and understand its everyday life and needs, we also develop our ability to adapt technical solutions. Technology is developing rapidly and there is always more to learn," says Niklas Hagberg, Head of AI and Innovation at Aderian GDM.

DigiLab will make advanced AI infrastructure more accessible for research and contribute to more companies and public actors being able to explore the possibilities of the technology. With better conditions for conducting tests and experiments, researchers can more quickly test ideas and develop solutions that can be used in different activities.

The next step in the collaboration is, among other things, workshops where GDM and Mid Sweden University can share experiences and explore different areas of use. The parties also want to contribute to more organizations in the region gaining knowledge about AI and how the technology can be used in a safe and concrete way.

DigiLab thus creates the conditions for a continued exchange of knowledge between academia and industry, with the goal of strengthening the region's ability to develop and use AI.
