AIRI ‑ Embedded AI for Resilient Infrastructure
The project develops energy-efficient sensor systems with built-in AI for smart condition monitoring of roads, buildings, railways, and power grids, addressing challenges from climate change, aging infrastructure, and limited maintenance resources.
Through local measurement and analysis of changes in real time, measures can be optimized and operational disruptions prevented. The technology enables maintenance-free nodes based on energy harvesting, which reduces the need for intervention and extends service life. The project also establishes a cross-border user forum and innovation network to promote the continued development, application, and dissemination of AIoT solutions for sustainable and resilient infrastructure.
