Prof Mauerhofer highlighted the opportunities and challenges of implementing the GBF framework, using the example of the EU-funded ALPMEMA project, which is investigating factors for biodiversity conservation in alpine meadows.

Over 1000 people attended ICCB 2023, the largest global meeting to address conservation challenges and present the latest in conservation research and practice.
