Daniel Laven and Dag Hartman participated in the 2024 Swedish National Commission for UNESCO Conference, in Stockholm on March 14-15. They discussed how the research project directly supports Östersund’s membership in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network as a designated City of Gastronomy.

Daniel Laven and Dag Hartman presented a poster that provided an overview of Mid Sweden University’s research and educational activities that directly support Östersund’s membership in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (as a member city of gastronomy). The poster refers to the research project Enhancing Entrepreneurship in Rural Areas through Local Food Systems and also features our experience in delivering a pilot international Master’s program on Food City Design.
