Mathematical Physics
Our research is focused on design theory and integrable systems.
In design theory, we work with fundamental questions about block designs and row-column designs. Traditionally, statistics is the major area of application, but there are interfaces with most areas where one is interested in combinatorial structures, such as code and graph theory.
In integrable systems, we work with waves of a particle character. From an algebraic/functional analytical point of view, we construct solutions and then use combinatorial methods to analyze their asymptotes. We use computer algebra to support our research.
