Changes in the University Library's database range in 2026
Some of the databases that the University Library subscribes to will change at the turn of the year - Juno and SiS standards will be upgraded, while Literary reference source and SPIE will be terminated.
Databases that are upgraded
An upgrade of our subscription to the legal database Juno from Norstedts Juridik gives us access to a large number of e-books that the publisher includes in the agreement for higher education institutions. We already have access to all legal commentaries in the service as well as a number of journals in the legal field.
We have noticed an increased demand for standards that we provide via the SiS database. Therefore, we have upgraded that subscription to include full-text access of all SiS-published standards. Previously, it has been possible to order an extension of individual standards when full access was lacking, now we hope to be able to meet the need for standards for Mid Sweden University's researchers and students in a smoother way.
Two subscriptions are cancelled
We will no longer have Literary Reference Source from Ebsco nor the journal package from SPIE after the turn of the year. These subscriptions have been cancelled due to low usage. In the case of SPIE, we still have access to the publications that were published when we had an ongoing subscription, that is to say the last ten years. If you need articles where full text is missing, we are happy to help you order them.
