E-books can be found in Primo or directly via an e-book provider in the list below.

As a student or staff at Mid Sweden University you can access our e-books anywhere in the world, as long as you have a computer, smart phone or a tablet and an internet connection. We buy our e-books from several different vendors, and it is the vendors who determines the rules on how their books may be used. Because of that you will find that lending times and download times differ between different titles.

As an individual user, you are required to comply with the agreement that Mid Sweden University Library has concluded with the following vendors and publishers. As a user, you are also required to read the copyright information which some vendors/publishers provide regarding the use of their resources. If the licence terms are violated, the supplier can, either temporarily or permanently, withdraw access.

  • Cambridge Core Books can be downloaded chapter by chapter. Print and copy is allowed.

D

  • Dawsonera You can read the books online or download them to your computer for three days. You need access to the Internet to be able to read downloaded books. The publishers allows you to print max 20% and copy max 10% of each title when reading online. Titles can be read aloud once downloaded using Adobe Reader.
  • DOAB Directory of Open Access Books.

  • Ebook Central Books can be read online or downloaded for 7-14 days. To download an e-book you need an user account. Read more about how to download e-books at ProQuest Ebook Central LibGuide. Printing is limited to max 40 pages per search. When downloaded you are allowed to print 10% of the book. To print and download you need to create an account.
  • eBooks from EBSCOhost Some books can be downloaded, see information for each title. Printing is limited to one page at a time, max 60 pages, depending on publisher. To print and download you need to create an account.

  • IEEE Books can be downloaded chapter by chapter. Printing and copying is allowed.

  • OAPEN Library Open Access publishing of new titles primarily in the humanities and social sciences.
  • Oxford Reference Online Books can not be downloaded or saved. Printing is limited to one page at a time.

S

  • Safari Books Online 5 simultaneous users. Books can not be downloaded or saved. You can print individual pages.
  • SAGE Knowledge Books can be downloaded chapter by chapter. Printing and copying is allowed.
