The number of applicants for the spring semester is increasing
Mid Sweden University continues to increase when it comes to the number of applicants for courses for the spring semester 2026. Almost 21,400 applicants mean that there is a sharp increase compared to last year's level of about 19,000 applicants.
"We increased significantly for 2024 and last year's figures remained at about the same level. The fact that we have now managed to increase further is of course fantastic and a confirmation that we have an attractive range. It is important that as many people as possible take the opportunity to study and develop their skills at college or university, especially in times of relatively high unemployment," says Marie Häggström, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Education at Mid Sweden University.
The last day to apply for this spring's courses was 15 October. At that time, just over 263,000 people had applied for programmes and courses at the country's various higher education institutions, which is an increase compared to last year. The number of applicants to Mid Sweden University was approximately 21,400 applicants, which is approximately 2,500 more than in the previous spring semester. Of these, just over 5,770 are first-choice applicants.
For some educations, it is possible to make a late registration. Late registrations will be processed subject to vacancies on the programme. See more at www.antagning.se.
