What is really going on at Mid Sweden University in Sundsvall? During the Open House, you get a unique chance to peek behind the scenes, meet researchers, students and teachers. In addition, you get to try out a number of fun activities yourself.

Visit our STC and FSCN research centres and see how the technology of the future is developing. In the laser lab, you will learn about laser technology and take home a personal pen with your name engraved on it – if you want! Together with the Demicom research centre, children can try out a whale compass in a playful way.

From visits to the TV studio to bark beetles, we have something for everyone

Are you curious about media production? Then you can meet the journalism students and peek into the podcast and TV studio. In the Makerspace and Technichus, you can test new technologies and exciting innovations. Speakers Corner hosts short topic presentations, perfect for those who want to know more in just a few minutes.

Discover the mysteries of energy: can lights shine without a battery? Learn more about our research on bark beetles, fiberbanks and fungi. Try your hand at the profession of biomedical analyst by taking a blood sample and analysing it.

Win prizes and be invited to coffee

You can also sit down in the University Library, look at the art in our premises and hear more about the history of Åkroken and Grönborg. In addition, our students talk about their everyday life and what it is like to study at Mid Sweden University, and don't miss the quiz walk between Stora torget and campus Sundsvall, which we arrange in collaboration with Stenstansdagarna. And don't miss the chance to win great prizes, or the opportunity to be invited for coffee, coffee and ice cream.
